"I have spent over 50 years in the music business and I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the great DJ'S. who continue to play my music around the world. I want to thank my untold thousands of fans world wide and my family and friends for their support all of these years. It has always been an honor to be a part of the historic Grand Ole Opry. From it's meager beginning as a radio show to today's ultra modern television and radio productions the Opry has stood the test of time. No matter where you travel around the globe almost everyone knows the name Grand Ole Opry. Country Music has had it's ups and downs, it's twist's and turns but in today's marketplace it ranks at the top. I am a traditionalist and always will be and to all of you who still long to hear the sounds of the grass roots of traditional country I offer you a special thank you for keeping it alive in this century. Thank you also for keeping it country and visiting me at the Grand Ole Opry!

In March my dear friend Ernie went to join his best friend and companion Bettye in heaven. He is dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. I met Ernie in 1966 in Cleveland, Mississippi where we did our first show together. We began a friendship that night that span some forty years and I miss him so very much he was my buddy. For the past 10 years I have had the pleasure of being his webmaster and I will continue to be so as long as the site is kept available. We are changing some of the features of the site to make it a memorial to one of the greatest men I have ever known. I would love to hear from all of you so feel free to email me.
